My main research interests are risk perception and school safety. Risk perception refers to the subjective evaluation or judgement of potential risks in various things, and I am studying its characteristics and cognitive structure. In the area of school safety, I am studying issues such as what kinds of risks schools face, such as physical accidents, and what kinds of countermeasures and pedagogical methods are possible. My research does not aim to completely eliminate risks from society or schools. Rather, I hope to contribute to the formation of individuals and organizations that can sustain their activities while accurately identifying and managing risks.
