Development and regeneration of animal bodies are research topics that have long fascinated many scientists. Our research interests are the cellular dynamics and the molecular mechanisms of animal development and regeneration, especially focusing on the liver of mice and rats as well as the visceral organs in sea cucumbers. We aim to elucidate the common and fundamental mechanisms for the regeneration of the animal body and would like to contribute to regenerative medicine.
